An Islamic, Ottoman
Empire Scribe's Chest with Horn, Tortoiseshell and
Mother-Of-Pearl Inlay, Turkey, 18th Century. Of
rectangular form on bracketed feet with hinged beveled lid, the
lid, front, sides and back are inlaid
with horn, mother-of-pearl and tortoiseshell, the interior
lined with red velvet,(probably later), all inlay is perfect and
stable, overall in excellent original condition with no sign of any
major restoration.

26.8cm).
